Lightyshare is the French marketplace for renting photo, video and audio equipment, founded in 2016. Its community of owners and renters, individuals and professionals alike, gives it a 4,98/5 rating across 30 772 verified reviews, left after real rentals.
On Lightyshare, a review is never an anonymous comment: it is the trace of a real rental between two members.
The equipment is returned and the transaction is closed. Only then does rating open up, on both sides.
The renter rates their owner, the owner rates their renter. Nobody can rate without having rented, and nobody rates twice.
The rating appears on this page and on the member's profile, good or bad. We never remove any of them, and we never hide any of them.
Every rating is left by a member at the end of a real rental, then published exactly as written, good or bad.
Good and bad, every rating appears exactly as written. We never remove or hide any of them, and the full breakdown is shown opposite.
Every member's identity and contact details are verified, and payments go through the platform to secure each exchange.
The average and the breakdown are recomputed on every new rating received. Last updated on 11/02/2026.
30 772 verified ratings
221 "system" ratings (0★): they are recorded automatically when a rental is cancelled less than 7 days before it starts. They flag late cancellations and are not counted in the average rating.
Leaving a review is optional: we invite every member to rate their rental, but never require it. The ratings shown therefore reflect only a portion of all rentals made on Lightyshare.
Ratings have stayed stable since the very first review, both from renters and from owners: the mark of a community you can rely on over time.

Découvert en Mai 2026 pour un besoin très précis (400mm f/2.8), j'ai pu tester la location cet été via un particulier. Tout s'est bien passé. Vraiment très pratique quand les loueurs standards n'ont pas le matériel souhaité
