You set your dates, compare listings near you and send a request to the owner. Once accepted, payment is held until the rental starts and insurance covers the equipment throughout the shoot. Pickup happens in person, so you can check the body together and set it up before leaving.
Prices start from 15€ per day for a camcorder or a compact camera, and usually range between 80€ and 250€ per day for a digital cinema camera depending on the model and the accessories included. The exact price is set by each owner and shown on the listing, insurance included. Multi-day rentals generally benefit from a decreasing rate.
Search for the model or camera family you need, enter your dates and city, then send a booking request to the owner, who has 24 hours to reply. Once accepted, you pay online and agree together on the pickup place and time. The payment is only released to the owner after the rental starts.
Yes, every camera rental made through Lightyshare is covered by insurance that protects the equipment for the whole rental period. A deposit hold is requested from the renter at booking: it is not charged if the equipment is returned in its original condition. The amount is shown on the listing before you book.
