En tournage de cinéma, il sera très utile dans des acoustiques compliquées, très réverbérantes, en bout de perche, pour isoler les voix en matant l'acoustique plus efficacement qu'un statique hypercardioïde. Son grain sur les voix n'a pas à rougir en regard des micros statiques habituels de tournage (Schoeps, Sennheiser MKH, Neumann KM). Il est un bon complément de ceux là pour les milieux bruyants (usine, concerts...) et les grands espaces aux murs réverbérants.
